This service provides the most complete eye care possible to the often under-served individuals who cannot reach clinics in the usual way. We make regular visits to several institutions such as long term care homes, complex care hospitals and health clinics for the homeless and street youth in the greater Toronto area. We use portable instrumentation to provide comprehensive vision and eye health examinations and to dispense eye-wear and low vision aids when necessary. We collaborate with the entire health care team and families in the care of these patients. We regret that at this time we cannot provide this service on an individual ‘house call’ basis.
